Jakarta Dept. of Cleanliness involves Assessment and Application of Technology (BPPT) to construct Intermediate Treatment Facilities (ITF) for waste management.

Jakarta Head Dept. of Cleanliness, Isnawa Adji, said the BPPT involvement is aimed to avoid mistake in constructing ITF.
“We cooperate with BPPT for its technology,” he said, Thursday (9/22).
October, Sunter ITF Grounbreaking StartedLater on, his side will form special team for the construction. BPPT team will be also involved.
The construction is being consulted with the Government Goods and Service Procurement Institution (LKPP).
“Market sounding will be held after the consultation,” he added.
It is targeted that groundbreaking can be started in October for Sunter ITF. It will be constructed by PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro).
By constructing the inner city ITF, it is hoped the waste volume disposed to Bantar Gebang Disposal Site can be decreased.
